After the raw materials have been approved by the laboratory, the ORTIS Ginseng Imperial Dynasty can be prepared in accordance with Adolphe Horn’s unique recipe.

The ginseng is first ground to preserve all of the active principles.

This produces a paste which is mixed with guaranteed ORGANIC wheat (gluten free) and tapioca syrup.

These sugars are needed to act as natural preservatives. They also serve to sweeten the taste of ORTIS Ginseng Imperial Dynasty.

Following in the steps taken fifty years ago by the founder of ORTIS, we add the blend of royal jelly, which is known to enhance the effects of ginseng. This jelly is a glandular secretion from worker bees (nurse bees). They feed all of the larvae using this secretion for several days. Furthermore, royal jelly is the only food eaten by the queen throughout her lifetime (from the larval stage to adulthood). The queen is the only bee which has the right to eat it all through her life. It is an extremely nourishing substance, which is the reason for the queen bee’s longer life and considerable fertility.

Production at ORTIS takes place according to precise control regulations, as laid down by SAC codes (self-checking procedures imposed by Belgian law) as well as good manufacturing practice (GMP), a quality assurance system which applies, in particular, to the food product and pharmaceutical product industries. GMP determines a product’s precise manufacturing method and environment. All of the raw materials, intermediary products and final products are checked during production. This entire process is recorded meticulously in what is called the preparation protocol. Traceability: if it transpires that, despite all of the precautions taken, a specific batch is faulty, it is possible to check what the manufacturing process was, who carried out the tests, the source and nature of the raw materials used, etc.
